Welcome to the forum! All such information has been lost to time. If there wasn't a file in your Dad's belongings with invoice and sale documentation, no one else will have it. Your best avenue would be to research what Ford dealers would have been in business in the area where your Dad lived or worked, and may have made the purchase, and make an educated guess. You might see if any of them are still in business and may have kept sales records for 70+ years. It's a long shot, but you've got nothing to lose. Your truck's serial number and production code on the plate in the glove box will provide clues as to which assembly plant it was built at, and when. If you would share those we can decode it for you.
I disagree with Wayne 100%. The Arizona Department of Transportation has search features, for a fee to search title history.
ServiceArizona.com or one of their other sites has the ability to check for liens, lost titles, etc.
Have the vin decoded.,then you know the year, and have the State run the search. Their information should be able to tell you to whom the vehicle was delivered(dealer ) Most all dealers have long since disposed oh these records, so that is where you hit the dead-end.
Regards, Mark
