I recently put a new tailgate panel on my F-150, I bought it at a swap meet and the guy had told me it was off a 7.3 IDI, it has a Bronco style reflector strip with the Ford oval. On the right side it has residue of where another emblem once was, I can’t find any pictures of this panel on the internet and I was wondering if anybody knew what it was off. Please post any pics if you can find any
Well without the lock in the aluminum it is not a bronco cover. However, i think the black piece can be removed from the metal. So it is possible that someone put the Broncos cover on the trucks trim piece.
No, there's nothing particularly special about that. I'd say that it's most likely somebody put the bronco plastic bit on, in place of the F-Series one.

Yep,
. LMC Truck has the insert you can buy and switch it out.
I think the ones that had the blue oval instead of FORD lettering were newer replacements. I bet they had more Bronco strips than necessary. I bought one from NPD or LMC for my previous truck when they were affordable and it was the blue oval one. I never saw one of these trucks with the oval back when they were new or only a few years old. Since it is in good shape I wouldn't bother switching it out.
I have a 96, albeit its not high enough trim to have the nicer appearance to it, so its possible that is why its like it is. Just thought to share since i know its not beat up or missing anything
