68 F100 302 conversion.
Hello,
New to the forum and recent new owner of a ‘68 F100
It currently has a 360 that is junk. All cylinders rusted.
It is 3 speed on the tree.
I have a ‘68 302.
Any advice on fitting the 302 to the trans?
I imagine different bellhousing. Not sure what kind.
But unsure of other things I’ll need to do.
If there is already a thread for this could someone link me to it so I don’t recreate the wheel.

A 302 is a small block Ford which uses the SBF bell housing pattern. A 360 is an FE engine which uses an FE bellhousing. The 2 different engine families don't intermix. You need a SBF trans bell housing. You also need to have 69-79 302 engine perches, or 77-79 351M/400 engine perches to put the 302 in properly.
