Hey guys I’m currently rebuilding my 97 460 and I decided to swap out the E4 for a T18 my brother had.
I have everything from the donor truck, a 1980 302 bronco. So I have the pedals, trans and t case and whatever I may need. The t case is a BW1345 so I’m going to use my 1356 from behind my E4.
I also have a hydraulic 460 t19 bellhousing, fork, and engine plate. I’m hoping using z bar pedals with a hydraulic clutch isn’t going to be to big of a PITA.
I’m curious how strong are t18 and will I have any issues swapping my T case over?
What year truck is this all going in a 97 or ?
Need to know because of pedals for years to use.
Transmission should be strong enough I don't know of the transfer case?
What flywheel you going to use as the 302 one will not work.

Truck is a 97, pedal assembly is out of I assume the 80 Bronco as it’s a z bar but was installed in a 91 f150 which was manual swapped with the parts from the 80 bronco and now those parts are getting swapped into my 97.
I would prefer the 460 bellhousing and clutch setup to be hydraulic. So that would be 85-87 as 83-84 had a different starter.
Believe I read I can use an FE flywheel with a 351/400m bellhousing and z bar. As the 351/400 are shallower than the 460 bellhousing.
That just leaves the t case which will be the BW1356 out of my 97
If the pedal assembly is from a 80's Bronco I don't know how you got it to fit the 90 150 and will not fit the 97 truck as they are different from what I seen posted.
Even with in the 80 to 86 trucks between mechanical & hydraulic clutch the clutch side is different but can swap the 80's assembly but can not swap between 80s and later assembly because the dash is different and will not bolt in.
Now the 90 should bolt into the 97 truck if the pedal assembly is a 90 unit.

When you swap the transfer cases, make sure you bring the shifter with it, they can be different. See if the 80 has a center floor section that you can unbolt, that may save you a little bit of hole cutting in the floor.
