Steering damper stabilizer for 59
Somewhere a couple years ago someone posted a pic of using a standard cheap autoparts store steering stabilizer on their fridge front axle. I have been searching but cant find it. it had pics and everything. I believe they drilled a hole in the axle to mount it maybe? anyways if anyone has the link or is using this setup I am looking for a cheap way to tighten the front up a tad.

My understanding is the steering stabilizer is like a shock absorber to dampen steering wheel shake when running crummy unbalanced bias ply mudders. It is not likely to improve slop or wander.

I don’t know that you really need one. Is there excessive play in your steering? Unfortunately the two 4x4’s and 2wd I have worked on all needed steering box drag link, tie rod repair/replacement.
