So my brother just bought a 14 Lariat, and since I'm the family mechanic, I've gotta figure out why his a/c and heated seats don't work. I'm kind of stumped. It's throwing over temp codes for all 4 TED's, but on my scan tool, they're all within 10 degrees of each other and pretty accurate. I tried clearing the codes, and they all came back. The fans kick in for about 5-10 seconds, then shut off and show a fault. I tried taking the fans off of the seats and running it to see if there's a restriction, same thing. The seat cushions don't seem to have a filter, and the seat back filters look clean. Is there something these TED's have in common in the circuit that could be causing the code? Hvac module maybe? Maybe the sync module? Any help would be appreciated!
You're going to need the shop diag manual to fix that. I just looked at mine and the flow chart is rather sizeable. It starts with circuit checks, shorts to power and/or ground or open then moves on from that to other component testing which may require dealer lever diagnostic tools.

Do you have the flow chart? I was a dealer tech at Chevy for a while, but I don't have access to all data anymore.

My disk is for a 2013 so there may be differences I can't say for certain, however 2011-2014 are near identical electronics wise. Are you comfortable working with the srs?

Yessir, done plenty of air bag recalls. I know how to disable it.

The above steps are for that specific code ONLY. If you're getting any other codes, there are more steps accordingly. If that is the only code you're getting the flow chart stops at AM4.
Again keep in mind I'm pulling info from a 2013 model disk, the 14 may be different.
