If anyone is interested, some Ford shop manuals from a past friends' estate. Have to sift through 18 pages. No affiliations with this. He was big into Ford and IHC also antiques. Most of the big stuff, cars and trucks sold 1st part, now second. Legacy Auction Company, check the Cedar Falls Iowa listing. There is an early 50's illustrated parts book for trucks. I don't have one anymore and maybe would be a good find for someone.
My Dad collected stuff. Dad had auction after mu Mom died. He had enough yard sticks to fill a 50 gallon drum, 300 or more yardsticks. They sold them 10 to a lot. He also collected pencils like this guy, bullet pencils too.
Speaking of longer yardsticks, back in the early 70's when there was a push to get the US to switch to the metric system, we had a new bank open in town that was giving metre sticks, or perhaps more accurately, 39 3/8" sticks. They were graduated in inches.
My friend had paneled the wall in his building with them laid edge to edge. It was pretty impressive; wish I had a picture of it before auctioneer took them down. Some of the sticks are either so old or from such small towns they only have 2 digits for phone numbers.
