repurpose the speaker for emergency sevices radio speaker
That's reasonable. I have a ham radio VHF/UHF radio that lives under the front passenger seat. The external speaker is mounted to the back of the center console. Easy. Especially since I seldom have passengers in the back. Just a thought.
