torque values

would appreciate it if someone could give me the torque spec for the torx bolt which mounts the belt tensioner on a 1992 Ranger, 3.0; I'm trying to replace the old one (108k miles) and am having difficulty removing the old bolt. Have destroyed 2 torx tips all ready. Any advice here?

Thx for the help

Hi, welcome to FTE!

Not exactly sure what you are looking for. Do you want to know how tight the bolts are, or what size the torx heads are, or....?

Joe, I'm wagering on "how tight the bolts are".

But just watch me plant my foot in my mouth when he replies.

I need the "torque value", or "torque spec" that the "Torx" T-50 bolt that holds or "mounts" the belt tensioner unit onto the engine block for my '92 XLT 3.0 V6. It has 108k miles on it and I want to change the belt tensioner in a "preventative maintenance" sense. Is that advisable, or is the tensioner good for the life of the truck?
