Manifold gasket replacement
I need to replace the manifold gasket on my 226H engine. Reading the manual it does not call for any sealant on the gasket, engine block or manifold. Any recommendations on use of a sealant and if so what do you recommend?

Also anyway of sealing the hole where the exhaust control valve pin passes through the manifold?

There is a high temp sealant I used on the connection between the manifold and exhaust pipe.... without much success. I've never sprayed anything on a gasket or a manifold surface.
Ask Pincone Ford Tom what he used on his exhaust control hole.
