Driver Side exhaust manifold
1997 Aerostar 4.0 AWD
Recently Ive had to replace my heads and wanted to reuse my exhaust manifolds, however everything has rusted together indefinitely. I’ve been looking for a driver side manifold for a solid 2 months and can’t find anything that has the egr hole on a 4.0. Would a driver side manifold from an explorer work? The egr system on that looks to be the same, but positioned differently.
if anyone has one for sale, with the egr system and oil dipstick tube, I’ll buy it. Doesn’t matter if it’s used or new.

Looks like a variety of salvage yards across the US are showing the LH/driverside exhaust manifold as in stock on car-part.com. They generally seem to be less than $100, though of course shipping would cost you extra. Also, on eBay, there is at least one complete head, driverside, with the manifold attached, for $150 plus $64 shipping. Not cheap obviously, but it's there and has pictures posted.
Edit: The ones I've found on car-part/eBay all seem to go to mid-90s OHV 4.0L motors from Explorers and Rangers, not SOHC, but they seem to show general compatibility. I guess that remains to be demonstrated. Ford's parts website lists the part, now discontinued, as F69Z9430DA. Ford seems to think that part number only fits 1996-1997 Aerostars, as it doesn't list any other. Hopefully though, one of these will get you on the right track.
