mirrors installed!

So i am playing with the idea of being able to turn on the markers and puddle lights with my fog light, now i am sure i will need to run this through a relay to keep from back feeding!?
So help me out here, what do i need to do to make this work

I wired the puddles to the door courtesy lights so they come on when you unlock the truck with the FOB...they're already on a timer. Do those new mirrors stick out anymore than the old ones from the truck?

Yes i did the same thing, and yes they do stick out farther great visibility
what i would like to do is wire the puddle and marker lights to come on with my fogs also, just not sure about how to do that, i would imagine that i need to inset a relay into the line ??

You would use a diode to prevent backfeed. Think of it as a check valve for electricity.
I’d say you’ll need one for each circuit where it ties into the mirrors. This would prevent current from fogs going to dome and vice-versa.

I don't understand the value of having the puddle lamps on with the fogs.

It would be pretty simple. Just like was stated just need a diode and will need one on both power circuits going to the puddle lights. The dome light one and the fog light one. That's all it would take.

i am having issues finding the right wire to tie into for the puddle light to work with my dome lights, for starters, can't seem to narrow it down!
Realizing i could have just tapped into the door light, after i pulled all the wires through the door to the fuse box, any pointers out there???
black with a green strip at the door light, but does not run back to the fuse box

Do your mirrors have the aux white light that shines forward in the turn signal light also? There pretty bright also. I can see them shining in the ditch on mine.

I hooked them to a switchback led controller. So they are on all the time the lights are. Then when I put either turn signal on that side the white light turns off and the turn signal blinks yellow. Then goes back off and white aux light comes back on after turn signal is off.

So i have them hooked up so they come one with the headlights ATM, i have not watched them as to what they do when the turnsignal comes on, i would imagine they stay on, since i have done nothing special to any of it yet
