1956 data plate attachment method ???
I am trying to figure out how ford truck data plates were attached at the factory, in 1956. I've seen photos showing data plates using screws and others using rivets ????????

I concur, the data plate was attached with 4 Phillips head screws. I have a 30K mile unrestored 56 F100 that I bought 10 years ago from the original owner's family. Interior and door jambs are untouched. Data plate is screwed in.
