I have a 1994 F-150 extended cab with short bed. I am looking for a set of step bars or "nerf bars" that attach to the FRAME and not to the body of the truck. I'm a first time user,so i might be in wrong forum? Would be ok with a decent set of used ones. Thanks!
Sorry, I don't have any recommendations. Rock sliders typically attach to the frame only, to protect the body. Built much heavier than steps (but can double as steps).
I have a set on my regular cab '94 F350 that attach to the frame, the seat belt bolt, and the forward most cab mount bolt. I got them off of ebay for under $100 several years ago. Might be worth looking there.
welcome to FTE.
as the newest old body style truck is now 25 years old, i doubt you will find new.
last truck i got in for bar instillation i fabricated mounts to adapt a set of superduty bars
If you would be interested in these, let me know and I will look up where I got them. The rear piece goes to the frame. The front goes to a factory bracket mounted to the frame that supports the front cab mounts. Very sturdy.

If not too much trouble, I’d like to know, those look nice.
