On my way to work this morning just cruising truck just shut down and I had to coast into a parking lot. There was a strong smell of gas and I found the blue fuel line in the pic had popped off. I put it back together but worried it might happen again. Is this connection supposed to have an outer lock on it to prevent such a thing? Made me buy a small fire extinguisher also.
It is a spring lock connector. The same type used on air conditioning hoses. I would have to say that the hose was either not fully seated or the spring tabs on the fitting are weak/damaged. Those clips shown in post #3 don’t hold the hoses together. If they did, you wouldn’t need to use a disconnect tool to separate the hoses.
