I've got a '95 300 I-6. For the most part, it runs great, but at cooler temperatures and lower RPMs, the engine will start hitching. Once it's warmed up, it stops. Or, if it's still on the cold side, it will accelerate smoothly once you put your foot into it.
When you say "hitching" do you mean like hesitation or surging? If this is the case you need to have/clean your fuel injectors-throttle body-butterfly valve cleaned. I had that done on my 93 because it was running like @#$.
