I just preformed a code reading on my 1992 f150 4.9. With the koer I got a code 30? I see no code 30 in the book so I’m not sure what code 30 would be?
None of the codes for the OBD system included a zero. The system displayed codes by flashing the check engine light or by sending a pulse to a code reader. 1 flash for the number 1, 2 flashes for number 2, etc. There was no "zero flashes" for a number 0.
Incidentally, the code 1 1 1 (three ones) means there are no codes and everything checks out ok. Is it possible that either you or your code reader confused three ones for 30?
Edit to add: the koer test takes a couple of minutes, and at the beginning of the test (because you have a six cylinder engine) you will get three flashes that are not a code. After those three flashes the computer performs a bunch of diagnostics checks. Did you let the entire test happen, and do the power steering/brake/throttle test (whatever is needed for your particular truck)?
