Exclamation Center Console Removal

I am new to this site and was hoping to get some help. I have just recently purchased a 03EB Expy. I need to remove the center console so I can install my CB. The center console has a top that I need to get off so I can start to do my custom work. I am able to pop the back of the center console off but the front seems to be attached from underneath. I am unable to pull it off. Does anyone know how to remove the top part of the center console without breaking it? Do I need to remove the sides first? I am traveling cross county (from AZ to NJ) in two days and need to get this done pronto. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Someone has probably has some better information, but here is a link to a thread that might be helpful. This was done on a '98. Im sure it is different on an '03, but it might get you pointed in the right direction. Good pictures courtesy of Southprk.

Welcome to the forum.

There is 1 bolt you are missing.

Take the rubber pad out of the center pocket. This is the cavity where the ashtray is contained. The rubber pad just sits in place and there is 1 bolt underneath it.

The rest of the center console is attached by the clips (just pull).

Good luck.
