Tranny Fluid/ Coolant Question
One of the fluids that has to get changed is the transmission fluid. I was wondering if there are any recommendations for this. Is it acceptable to use synthetic?
What about propylene glycol- based coolants? For several years I have used Prestone Lo-Tox in my Porsche 928 with good results. I'd like to only keep one type of coolant in the garage....
Thanx in advance!

I think propylene glycol should work just fine in the cooling system. It's supposed to be less corrosive than ethylene glycol, so you can leave it in for longer before having to change it. In fact, it's probably better in that sense. However, low-tox does not mean no-tox, and I would treat it the same way as ethylene glycol.
