tail-lights out
While driving home at night recently I got pulled over and was told by the officer that my tail-lights weren't working. He was right, of course. Brake lights and turn signals function properly, just missing the lights in question.
Pulled fuse number 5 of the passenger compartment fuse panel -- looked fine. Also, looked at fuse 9 in the power distribution box and that appeared normal.
Either I checked the wrong fuses or the problem lies elsewhere...
The officer didn't give me a ticket, but I did have to drive home with my hazards on for 15 miles.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

I brought it into my local Ford dealer and let them have a go at it. They eventually found the problem after about 2 hours. A bolt from the bed apparently rubbed all the way through the plastic shielding and severed the (brown) wire. The location of the busted wire was about 2 to 3 feet from the rear of the truck (going up left side).
Pretty unusual if you ask me.
Thanks again.
