I have the equipment from Ford. Have it hooked up. But can only pair the first tire on the trailer ?
The owners manual says to hit the hazard lights off and on 3 times. The instructions with the equipment says to let air off today the tire to train it to the truck.
i also have a pairing device the el-50448.
i can get the first tire to pair. The tire symbol turns green and goes to the next tire. But can’t get it to pair?
I am thinking the second sensor is bad? Or the first tire is not truly paired. The horn honks once so that is supposed to signal a successful pairing.
one video I saw said to hit the brake 3 times then the ignition.
I can’t get it to offer me another tire to try to pair. Seems it forces a specific sequence or progression in which tire to pair.
Maybe I am not hitting the correct button?
Just because it WANTS the next sensor in the series doesn't mean you can't pick another one. It has no idea which one is which until you do the relearn process. It shows tire positions on the screen, but if you moved the trailer tires around the PSI would follow the tire to the new position.
The truck understands the position that a sensor is at on the truck. The trailer TPMS system isn't as smart.
