Hi
I ordered a new F-350 February 12th without knowing that my wife qualified for X-plan. Our price agreement currently is msrp minus a 500-dollar first responder discount. Truck is scheduled at the moment to be built week of August 1st. Can we still ask the dealer to honor? Can the dealer honor if he wants to? Does Ford reimburse or dealer eat it? In the end my fault for not knowing if we qualified for it in the first place.
You say you "paid" MSRP, you already paid for the truck that hasn't been delivered yet?
If the deal has not been completed yet, the dealer can still apply X-Plan, if they are willing.
They are not required to accept X-Plan on any sale, right now many aren't.
And, yes, they do get some consideration from Ford when they do accept it, but they do not get reimbursement for the MSRP price.
I hope you didn't pay in advance. I don't think that's something I've seen anyone do during these long lead times and assume it would have to be cash up front as no lender I'm aware of would fund a loan without the truck and vin number available. Your dealer can apply x-plan or any incentives you get from Ford before they get the truck on their lot. You can always shop other dealers and see if they will honor x-plan and cancel the order with your current dealer. Your current dealer will still get the truck and will be more than happy to offer it up for sale on their lot.

I have not paid yet for anything, just signed purchase agreement with price

That's good to hear. Go ahead and shop your x-plan around and see if you get any bites. However, if your dealer is willing to sell the truck to you for MSRP plus any incentives (go onto Ford.com and get a PCO if you haven't already) that may be your cheapest option. Good luck

I think you mean "attempt" to get a PCO. As worded your post looks like anyone can go there, sign up and grab an offer. We all know better than that.

Shopping around isn’t going to work since order banks closed on 4/1 and you cannot order one at this time.
IF he finds one in stock no one will sell it at X-Plan price. They will be at MSRP or Higher.
His only 3 options are
1- ask dealer if they will sell him his ordered truck with X-Plan
2- buy it at agreed MSRP price and be happy
3- Walk away and not buy a truck.
If he gets lucky and comes across a PCO/ECO he can use it towards the down payment on his ordered truck.

Your dealer should have provided you with a priced DORA...last page of DORA stipulates the selling price for each of the various programs Ford offers.
The various plans pricing will also be on the invoice but since truck is not yet built no invoice. Last page excerpt, redacted, from DORA.

I've never had an issue getting the system to kick one off to me. I received 3 between October and February, used it to get $2500 off my rig when it finally showed up in February.

Only if you order with one of the A/ZDX plans the DORA will have the plan prices as in your example above.
If you order with a price related to invoice the DORA will have MSRP and INVOICE price listed, not A/ZDX prices.
If you order any other way the DORA will only have MSRP listed.
Here are 2 or my DORAS. One with X-Plan and the other was from Chapman ordered 4% below invoice.

Pure luck on your end, NOBODY else has ever gotten any that easily.
I finally received one, months after I bought my truck.

what are you doing, specifically, to get them?
In my attempt to get them I spent a good 20 or so minutes a day for two months building stuff on the ford site, and another 20 minutes surfing the web where I figured ford adds would show up to try and find them. I saw lots of ford adds, got a bunch of ford surveys, but no PCOs
