I got the dreaded P0016 code on the Explorer a couple times now. No misfires and no "chain rattle" at start up so heres to hoping its just an electrical issue aka Cam sensor.

Hopefully it's that simple. Our 2012 F150 5.0 had the bank 1 emissions code come up, of course there are a number of things that could cause it. So supposedly the most common is the oxygen sensor before the cat. I change it clear the code and of course the code comes back. I need to check the original sensor to see if that was bad and probably dump money to get an after cat sensor to try. With the amount of f'in electronics on these vehicles, they can't have the on board diagnostics pinpoint the problem closer to what is causing it?

Good luck! Hope it's nothing too serious.
