The 352 originaly came out in the 1958 T-Birds,
and was used in various ford and mercury full
sized cars up until `66. It was available in ford
trucks from `65-`67, and was then replaced by
the 360 for `68. The 352 and 360 have the
same crank stroke-3.50. The 360-390 have
a bore of 4.05. The 360 is a lower compression
engine than the 352. The 360 has heavy duty
internal parts, as well as the 390. The 360 and
390 are OG truck engines. The 390 has a stroke
of 3.75. I would personaly choose a 352-390
or 428 for my `65-`72 ford truck. That is
custom installation, when needed ofcourse!
I consider the 352 to be a streeter for 100
rangers and custom cabs, and the 390 for
all around heavy duty engine, from shredding
backwoods to running chaoticaly rampant in the
streets. The 428 is a sweet engine for any pre
`73 ford truck. The 410 and 427's make good
truck engines too.
Some fool said the 360 runs better than a 352!
What a joke! I wil take a 352 over a 360 anyday!
I will take a 390 over a 360 instantly!
Not that a 360 is bad or anything.
I'm die hard 352-390, I love these engines!
I love hi. po. 289's, the 302 boss, all 427's,the
