Lightbulb New Seat

I have a 58 ford and it has the original seat in it. I want to take the fuel tank out and relocate? I also want to put in a newer seat, like a split bench or maybe captains charis? Anyone have any ideas? And if so make sure and tell what year etc the seats should come from? Thanks

The newer seats with the built-in shoulder straps are nice for our year trucks because there's no great place to attach the shoulder harness pulley. The one cab corner brace is low and it doesn't come across the shoulder at a comfortable angle. I am 5'10" and it's low for me so I usually just end up stuffing it under my arm and go with the lap belt only.

Width of a bench seat will determine what ones you can use. My 3-pc console seat is 58" wide and fits well. I replaced a solid bench seat that was 60" wide that was hitting the cab corners just a bit. So, I'd say 58"-59" wide max on the bench or console seat.

Just some 4-1-1 to confuse your decision!
