I did the Doug Beam LED headlights off of ebay. Comes with harness, fuse, and instructions. Heavily recommended as they look factory but light up the road. I also installed LED bulbs in the dash, but have done nothing else as of yet.
They use glass like factory, so now fading or yellowing like the plastic ones.

Those look pretty decent, honestly. How is the light pattern in the dark? I know some of the cheaper headlights have a terrible pattern, so I'm curious what you think.
Another benifit of LED lights its that they inherently have a voltage regulator built into them. So even the 50 yr old wiring is fine. No point in wire upgrade or relays. Doesn't matter if they get 14V or 10V, same brightness.
