I have 2016 f250 diesel with the factory trailer brake controller. And with gain set to 10 and the brake effort on high, when I depress the foot brake, I'm only getting about 2 volts to the truck/ trailer pin . When I squeeze the manual slide levers on the controller in getting full voltage.
what are your thoughts?
Was that with the truck stationary or while in motion?
The trailer brake PWM signal is speed dependent. If you were parked, it's normal to have very little, if any, voltage at the BRAKE signal output when the pedal is applied.
Are you having any actual problem with the trailer brakes or just poking around?

thanks for the reply. I put new bearings and brakes on the travel trailer and was just testing everything out. I realized after awhile that the truck needs to be in motion for them to work. Glad I figured it out before I started digging into a problem that didn't exist. Lol
