On my 95 F350,With my batteries disconnected and using an ohm meter I unplugged the rear connector at the back of the rear fuel tank and the positive probe touching the tail light post and the negative probe touching ground the meter shows zero resistance also shows this on the left and right blinker posts as well as the back-up light post but not the clearance/running lights post. When I put the shifter in reverse the Bach-up lights come on, but nothing else. Any ideas?
What does it read when you check the clearance lights?
is that with the light switch on or off?
what problem are you trying to solve?
Hi, thanks for responding. I have not hooked up the clearance lights yet so I’ll have to plug them in and check. My blinker signal control mounted on the steering column was operating sporadically when I checked them a few months ago but now not at all so I bought a new one and put it on and still no turn signals. I am building a flat bed on the truck and am ready to put the skin on the back of it and wanted to get my lights all rigged before covering it and making everything less accessible.
I got to work this morning and turned on the lights to check the readings for the clearance lights and the tail lights came on. They were not working last night before I went home. Today without changing any thing they are working. I plugged in the clearance lights and they are working too. I still don’t have brake lights, emergency flashers or left and right blinkers. I have 12 volts on both sides of the 50 amp maxi fuse in the power distribution box that feeds the number 7, 15 amp turn lamps fuse in the dash. I also have power on both sides of that 15 amp fuse. Ditto for the 50 amp maxi fuse in the number 13 slot in the power distribution box that feeds the number 13, 15 amp stop/hazard lamps fuse in the dash. It also has power on both sides of that fuse. Since my tail lights started working then I am trying to solve the brake/blinker/emergency flasher problem. I bought a wiring harness for across the back at the junkyard and have checked continuity from the connector pins all the way to the light sockets and it all checks out. So the problem has to be from the rear connector forward. Again thank you for any advice you can give.

Reason: New developments
This will sound funny but make sure all cargo and exterior cab lights are working..If any of those bulbs are shot it can disrupt other lights. Good luck
