Question Headers

Hi guys. I have been searching the sight for this info and have had no luck so here goes.

I have a 1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT 460 C6 and dual fuel tanks. I am looking for someone that has installed hedders on this combo. The passenger side seems to be no problem. But what do ya do about the driver side. The fuel tank is blocking the driver side.

Bill

I have never seen headers that were so long they would reach the gas tank, unless your tank is under your master cylinder

headers

I guess I was not clear enough. How did they route the exhaust pipe and muffler from header to rear of vehicle.

My black one has the travel tanks so I know what your talking about. The driver side exhaust pipe just makes a slow curve over to the driver pipe and they both run along on the passenger side.

yea-my cousin just bought a '78 camper special 4x4 supercab with dual tanks and someone cut the flange on the driver side header to get enough room to make a 90 degree over to the passenger side. Then both pipes run all the way to the rear beside the driveshaft.
