I started a new project, they aren’t for the purist because they have the adhesive trim but don’t look to bad. Haven’t decided to build to sell yet, they are a bit labor intensive.
Thanks for looking.
The stainless trim is more secure (with a metal mount tab that bends over. And way better than the plastic chrome taped trim that is held on by plastic studs and star washers. The SS trim weather time and the elements way better. Even on trashed door panels in the JY that have the vinyl overlay that is shot, the SS trim is still useable.
Wow, John. They really look great, in my opinion. I would definitely be a buyer once on to the next dentside. I've bought several sets of John's map pockets for different projects. Top quality product and a super good guy to work with!
Well I still haven't mastered these to bring to market, my design has changed a bit. It's been tough to keep these affordable for everyone and will post a pic when I finish. I've thrown many away already.
The trim in this version is the flexible chrome PSA type, I do have a full metal alum ring design but adds lots of $$ to the project.
Stay tuned and thanks for the interest.

Thanks,
The SS trim is nice but near impossible to get, it also sets in a different location, it is at the outer most perimeter of the panel and offered without the inserts on some models.
Regarding availability of the trim, agreed. I consider myself a it of door panel nut. I’ve been working on projects like this for the past year and a half. I have accumulated a number of these trim pieces. And tried many designs. As you said, they are time intensive materials or not inexpensive.
again I think your inserts are top notch. Keep it up and keep sharing.
