FordPass App

Was trying to be preemptive before truck arrives, and create a FordPass account through the app.

Some sort of error happened when creating, didn’t finalize. Then when I attempted to create again, it wouldn’t let me b/c the email I used previously was now taken.

Figured that meant the first one actually did go through, but it seems not when I attempt to log-in.

Also attempted to go through the password reset process, but I don’t get any email once doing so.

Any idea who to talk to/contact regarding getting the account set up with the original email that’s now shown as “taken”?

1-800-392-3673 I believe this is the number. You'll need to call them & get it fixed. Should be simple.

There is a contact phone number for app customer service, they did a very good job handling my issue of having two accounts after the people at the quick lube made a new account without my asking.

From my experience, the FordPass app is a total PIA. Just be prepared for headaches.

Mine has been flawless. Remote lock, unlock, start. Schedule service, check rewards points totals. Notifies me of recalls and when I am near DEF, I can do a double check to see if I need it. I can check every service I have preformed, dates, cost, check maintenance schedule.

What was wrong with yours?

The fact that mine thinks the truck is still at the factory is my only issue, anyone know how to update the location?

Do you have location turned on for the app? I know in iOS that you can turn off location for apps and I bet you can for Android as well.

That's too bad. I've virtually have had no issues with the app.

I had issues getting it set up to work correctly. Once it was set up, the app has been very temperamental with me. Most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't. Tried adding my wife's newly acquired truck to FordPass in addition to mine and that was a no-go no matter what I tried. Yesterday I got an email stating that my request to delete my account (which I never sent...) was approved so I had to go through everything again and do a Master Reset in the truck. Maybe the difference is that I bought my 19 used so I haven't been tied to the truck since new?
That said I do like the ability to check the location, lock/unlock doors, etc. I am not able to view DEF level for my truck, that would be handy. My only wish is that the FordPass app would allow me to set the climate controls for remote starts.

After getting the duplicate accounts thing straightened out, my only issue was when my truck went low on DEF, it would give me about 20 notifications an hour, about drove me crazy. I called and asked how to shut that off but they said there was no way, but they escalated my complaint and after a while it doesn't give off so many notifications of low DEF.
The remote start works great, especially when I am sleeping in the back seat, everything else works fine too.
My biggest concern with it is that it allows Ford to know whenever my truck is on and going down the road.

When you remote start, the climate control automatically heats or cools to 72 degrees. That's pretty close to allowing you to set the climate control.

My climate control allows me to set it to automatic or the last preset setting during remote starts.

The app was working fine for me up until a week or so ago. Then the 2016 that I traded in on my current truck showed up in place of my 2020 F350. Nothing but troubles since then .

The problem I've had isn't so much the temperature, but the heated seats. There's been a few colder mornings where the heated seat was nice, but the next day it was too warm for the heated seat but it turns on during remote start anyway.

Mine has that setting in the dash, though it doesn't always seem to follow the rules and do what it's supposed to.
