Air conditioning

Anything I can do to diagnose the air conditioning (V10) or should I just drop it off at the Ford dealer ?

What are your symptoms? For example if the A/C is working but only coming out of the defrost vents, it is generally a quick fix of finding/eliminating a vacuum leak in the system. If you're just getting warm air, then there are additional steps to take.

Go read the HVAC FAQs, link is in my signature to get started.

No matter what your vehicle is, a lot of what was written there will get you pointed in the right direction. At least, it will give you the proper terminology to report symptoms and observations if you want assistance.

Pretty handy most things but never tried to fix air conditioning, just stopped blowing cold air last summer and haven't bothered with it since, but this year will be towing the camper a lot so have to get it dealt with.

It also helps if you explicitly identify what you're working on. We ain't psychic.

Or just take it to a shop/dealer. That way, we won't be playing "20 Questions" here.

Asking isn't the problem, poorly constructed questions and/or lack of necessary information IS though. Most of us are here to help but as already said we ain't psychics !
