Good morning! I’m searching for a stand-alone EFI harness. Engine and EFI is from an 88 Lincoln but I understand the F150 used the same setup. This will be used in a 67 Econoline with a manual transmission.
I have the same engine in my 52 F1, I swapped intakes to a TBI setup and made my own harness. Those engines have 14 or 17 lbs injectors, the intake and throttle body is restrictive. (I swapped in headers and intake to remove those restrictions but kept the small camshaft) Also if I remember right they use the old 289/302 firing order. so depending on what strategy you plan to run the engine could affect injector plug placement to fire correctly.
Was that a Lincoln towncar or a 2-door Lincoln MK7? The Towncar got the lopo 5.0(150hp), the MK7 got the 5.0HO(225hp).
That matters because it determines what computer you will need for it, there are numerous computers available for the HO all with tuning options... for future considerations, while the Towncar motor will require a Towncar computer. That assumes you want a plug and play setup to work with the motor as it stands without any tuning, if you were buying a tuner setup to start with that is a different story.
It was a Town Car. I was told it had a roller cam. I decided to go with FiTech. I know they supply crappy sensors, just like Holley, I’ll scrap those and use good sensors and a true Bosch fuel pressure regulator. I bought the “up to 400hp” master kit including the force fuel sump and pump.
this is for a 4x4 67 Econoline.
thank you all for the help. I’ll start a project post when I get started.
Any roller 5.0 like this is a fine starting point for a build, but if you ever want to see more than 200hp the heads and stock cam have to be upgraded.
