1994 f150 5.8 engine, AEOD trans , 2 WD --- air bag light for some reason started blinking --- clock spring is New and good as cruise , horn etc work , what would be the cause for this ,, bad sensor on the rad cradle or something else ,, also is there away to unplug the air bag circuit to eliminate the light temporarily without affecting driveability ,, truck has to go in for a safety inspection and any blinking light is an automatic fail . thanks in advance
AEOD is not a thing. I would guess with the 351 you have an e4od. What is the transmission code on the driver’s B pillar?
To answer your question about the air bag: Instead of guessing, what code is it giving you? The air bag has nothing to do with the drivetrain so there is no “driveability” issue there but wouldn’t the inspector check the air bag light to make sure it works? Screenshots taken from other air bag threads in this forum.

checked the code flashes it is 32 -- from the info given here it is driver side air bag circuit high resistance or open -- what do i have to check to find this fault and how do you check for it ,voltmeter or ??? thanks again for helping.

it sounds like it could be in the airbag(column) or the wiring to the module. I didnt look for that in service info, so just a suggestion. but i believe the airbag deploy lines are wired to the airbag, but then there is check-circuits, I think, that verify its wiring, so it may have more than one wire. I would say just look under your dash at the ABS Module. Its green by your feet. Veryify it looks ok. Then pull off the trim on the left lower by your feet, ground under there may be rusty (good to clean up any grounds if you find others)
