Except for hauling the family to church, we did not even crank the Beest. Diesel at $5.20 a gallon has us planning trips very judicially. Did get to play with a grandson for almost a whole day on Saturday. Took some of the kids to a local lake for a while on Sunday. That was a great time.

Had a great weekend at the North Georgia FTE GTG!

Now I'm sitting at the port in Savannah waiting to load.

Total miles today will be about 590 @ 10 MPG with my 99 F350 4WD DRW.

I took the Covid retirement plan from the airline I worked at back in July of 2020. Got so freaking bored I went back to work this month, part time/as needed for a friend of mine.

Gas prices don't help. We were going to take the 5th wheel to Savannah next month for my niece's wedding, but decided to take the Wife's Escape and get a hotel. to save the cost of fuel.

I know the feeling on gas prices. The Excursion (B.O.T.) sits alot more now. I'm driving my Jeep Liberty 4x4 (my hunting buggy). The wife and I have been fishing almost everyday this month trying to stock the freezer. KU who do you like that new 7.3 gasser besides the MPG?

And here I am buying a new project truck. 2005 F450 V10 (rod thru block) that I will put the 7.3 I was rebuilding for my 1999 F350 hot shot truck.

I'm guessing my 10 MPG will be more like 8 with the 450...

It is the all around best vehicle I have ever owned. Even sitting in traffic is fun. The truck is basically stock, with a few LEDs, tonneau cover, window tint and that sort of thing. Just by keeping it clean and shiny it get's plenty of head turning attention. On county back road highways the MPG can creep up past 16.2.

PM me. I have a friend that likely has a V10 block or two sitting around he might part with. South of Atlanta.

I have a 7.3 I was building for my blue F350. The CoPart wrecked 7.3 I put in it is working great so I will put the rebuild in the 450. Already have the block and heads back from the machine shop and a set of 160/30's ready to install.

I have some dentside body parts to give away if anyone is interested. One front fender, hood ,2 doors and both flare side fenders. They have some rust/dents but are repairable.
I can post pics if anyone is interested.
