Anyone having issues with their backup camera when backing into a garage and the pic just goes black? In the daylight it works fine but as soon as I start to back into my garage it goes black an then slowly start to come back "Still looks like crap" as I get close to my shelfs. My F150 never had this issue.
2022 F350 with the 360 camera package I mean for the price we pay this shouldn't be a issue.
Same. This is one of the bigger disappointments I have with the truck. Both the low definition and quality and the ever changing contrast with differing light conditions. I knew all this when I ordered so it wasn't a surprise. I needed a truck for towing a heavier load and needed to replace my 5th Gen RAM 1500 Longhorn that had all the bells and whistles...and really good cameras. I loved that truck and really wish I would have kept it, but the wife said I didn't need 2 trucks. Oh well. Overall, I'm generally happy with the 22 Ford KR but in terms of luxury and quality, a Longhorn it is not. I'm definitely not a fan boy. I deal with what I have to deal with to get the job done and this camera situation is a kick in the groin.
I was just under the impression that the screens for Sync4 are super high-resolution, and the cameras are still older lower-res.... so it appears grainy at times, and stays dark upon changes like that.
Hoping it is a software thing that can be fixed, but I don't think so.
There was a thread a couple of weeks ago where it was recommended to use the zoom in/out button & it would adjust the contrast when the screen updated. I couldn't find the thread, but give it a shot.

Will try that tonight. Just crazy my 19 had a better pic.
What to update this. 10000% a software issue. If you switch to the full view rear camera "takes up the full screen" it works fine and you can see as it should be. It is when the 360 camera and the rear camera are on that this issue happens.
The backup camera on my 21 XL should have the disclaimer that things are closer then they appear. It is however an ok piece of equipment. Once you use it to hook up a trailer a few times, by yourself, it is quite handy.

If you go to full view rear and then back to 360 does it stay good?
