Lift Rear End

the rear end of my 79 bronco looks like it might be sagging a little bit and i want to flip the rear shackles to lift it up a bit. do you think that this will make the rear end look higher? also i was wondering if there is anything i should worry about when it comes to taking off the bolt that connects the shackle to the leaf spring? its not under pressure is it?

As long as you have the chassis jack up off high enough that the wheels are'nt touching the ground, you should have no problems.
For the shackle flip, it can give you about 3" of lift. And you will have to make new brackets.

thanks for the info. i was able to get the shackle apart just to see how difficult it would be. now i just need some brackets. what could i use for a bracket that i wouldn't have to weld. what i mean is, what would be good to use for a new bracket? where could i get a piece of steel thick enough to hold the mount?

You could check these guys out, they make a pretty quality product.

I was gonna buy it, but it seemed a little pricey for me, I beleive that I could copy there desighn and make my own for a fraction of the price.

I think other companys make kits, but I don't know them.
