Transmission Dipstick
Just got through installing a new line pres modulator valve in my F-250. After buttoning everything up and adding what I thought was the same amount of trans fluid that came out I am having a hell of a time reading that damn dipstick. I drove the truck around to warm up the trans then let it sit a while to settle the fluid. Start it up , pull out the dipstick and the sob has a differant level mark on each side. Any thoughts on this? Thanks for any responses.

I went through the same thing when I changed my tranny juice to Mobil1. I wound up over-filling by about 1/2-1 quart as a result. I had a friend of mine double-check for me.
The "correct" side is the one with the markings. The fluid adheres to it better than the other side because of the engraved level markings. Go with that side.
