I am getting ready to paint my '69 Ranger long and am considering coating the bed - just wanted to get feedback, experience, etc.
1st question - should I do it? Or just go with the paint I am using for the upper section of the truck?
2nd - If I do it, what is the preferred product? I have considered several DIY products ranging from the Raptor product to the stuff harbor freight sells. I am not too worried about the price differences of the DIY stuff, but if rust-oleum or harbor freight work out I would prefer not spend the extra money in vein.
When I did the bed in my 1988 Ford Ranger the little truck .I used Herculiner that I got at Orielly's. It seems to be holding up fine after all of these years.
If you line it, try to find a liner that can be color matched. It'll look so much better than if it's just black. I'm not sure the specific brands you can do that with, I've just read and seen pictures of lined beds that match everything else.
