Need help. Restoring a 37

My brother just acquired a 37 pickup. He would like to restore it all stock as the truck is really solid. Almost rust free. It still has its original wheels, hubcaps, and steering wheel. The only problem is that there is no engine and transmission. It originally had a 60hp v-8 and we would like to put another flathead in it. Does anyone know where we can acquire an original transmission, and engine setup. The engine shouldnt be too hard to get, but a trans probably would. It still has its original driveshaft and rearend. and we were wondering how hard it would be do get an original trans to bolt in place for that setup.

Also how hard is it to rebuild the rearend? We have never messed with the pre-war vehicles. Is there anything we should know first while attempting to restore to original?
