'Mobile Dark Mode *Beta* is Here!
hello everybody,
We are super excited to launch a new way to enjoy the Ford-Trucks community from your mobile devices!
It's still a very early beta, but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your mobile device, you can now choose a dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎
We are looking to you for feedback about the experience. Being that you are the very first community we're trying this out on, we don't expect to have gotten it perfect so we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide.
We also recognize that some of you would like to see a dark mode on desktop, we do too! Our mobile beta is helping to shape the desktop option, and our hope is to release dark mode for all browsers later this year. Thank you all in advance for your understanding.
Please log in from your mobile, turn the dark mode on using the Hamburger menu and let us know your feedback in this thread.

I prefer to use the desktop version on my mobile, it's more familiar to me and easier to navigate. Also gives me all the content that the mobile version does not, namely user signatures.
With that said, all y'all need to get in there and beta this dark mode so they can adapt it to the desktop version.
I use dark mode on just about everything I can, easier on the eyes.

This is very good. There’s a weird green kind of halo or something on the keyboard area when typing (iOS), but everything else is great. Thanks for doing this.
edit to add: I wanted to see if the green halo was still there, and it’s not any longer. Maybe just an issue with my phone.
second edit: I believe it was an ad bleeding through the keyboard area. There is an ad for something with a giant green button that says “start”

For someone who tends to browse late at night - if we could also get dark mode for desktop (perhaps there's one already? I don't see any toggle) - that'd be awesome too! Otherwise, love the mobile dark mode!

@Robb M. I run dark mode and dark themes on all my devices at all times. As a guy who spends a great deal of time in front of screens, it makes a massive difference. I hope you bring this to the desktop platform as well. Thank you so much for bringing it to our phones!!

so my take away is that this is very appreciated, nobody is angry we don't have a desktop mode yet, but that you all would like us to continue prioritizing creating a desktop version in addition to the mobile one, yes?
