Auxito LED Headlights
I asked for some LED bulbs for my son’s 2004 F250 (Lariat CCSB, 6.0). It was my truck and went to him when I got my new truck. He’s 20 and put LEDs all around as much as he could as soon as he got it. He’s had a lot of trouble with LED bulb quality, as some of the bulbs burn out very quick or don’t fit well, like being loose in the head light housing socket. The bulbs these would replace were Torchbeams, from Amazon. They were OK, but loose in the assembly housing, like all the rest.
What I received was one box containing 2 LED 9007 light bulbs. Unlike more recent Fords, these trucks have one bulb on each side to handle high and low. They were packaged well, like most LEDs. The bulbs looked high quality and the installation is plug and play. The only caution is to NOT touch the bulbs, which is good advice for most high intensity bulbs.
My son, who’s a spastic kid
, didn’t take any before pics, like I asked, but he put the new bulbs in without issue. He said he immediately noticed these were the first LED bulbs that fit the housing nice and tight, as the bulbs should. Most bulbs actually feel they could fall out! He drove around a while and said they seemed to throw a better beam than the previous bulbs, while the color was similar to the others. He said the light seemed “higher”, but he hasn’t been getting flashed by other drivers. He would occasionally get flashed with other bulbs, but not regularly. All in all, he’s very happy with these Auxito bulbs. He likes the light they throw, as we live in an area with a heavy deer population, good, wide beams is a must. I like the good fit, because that indicates better quality and should keep moisture out of the housings. I can’t say these are the best out there, as he hasn’t tried them all, but he’s tried several of the typical Amazon brands recommended by people, and he likes these the best. If these bulbs last a good, long time, I think they’re a good buy. I’ll try to update this thread if I notice anything, good or bad, about these bulbs. I do appreciate the opportunity to try them out and let others know what my son and I think about them.
Here are a few pics, not that they help much, but pics make every thread better! I’ll try to get some against the garage or something later, but our driveway is sloped, so isn’t ideal for that stuff. Thanks for looking everyone!
Minimal glare hot spots. These are high beams.
No weird blue color. I thinks it’s a nice white, IMHO.
