I have a 1986 Ford Bronco ll 4x4 XLT with a 2.9L Fuel injected, with a 5 speed Mazda manual tranny.
I need a exploded view of the Tranny for one or where I can find it online.
Do I need to rebuild tranny or get a new one!!!
Had all gears for 2 weeks now
I Have 1st, 3rd, & 4th gear
Don't have 2nd or 5th gear
And The problem is after I replaced the clutch (brand new everything) and after 2 weeks of running and shifting fine I now cannot shift from 1st to 2nd when I do it grinds 2nd gear and won't go into 2nd unless at a dead stop and if I start in 2nd and shift to 3rd it shift's fine(talking about wear on a new clutch). It will shift to 5th but won't stay in 5th gear. I cannot down shift from 1st to 2nd and can't downshift from 3rd to 2nd. However 1st to 3rd is fine and 3rd to 4th is smooth and same with downshifting from 4th to 3rd. Fluid is up and does not leak. Also, when in neutral and you let out the clutch it does move forward a bit but not much. What could the problem be.
When this all happened I was in 2nd gear in a parking lot and all of a sudden the tranny ceased. Got it to move after 2 hours and with the rubber boot off you could hear kinda like a grinding noise. Drained tranny replaced fluid and it quit, lol after sitting for 11 mos. I would act that way to.
This is my baby and already sunk probablly to much money into it as some would say but after 3 years of wheeling and a converted chevy to ford lover it has only left me stuck in the mud once. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
