Parking brake pedal swap?

Is the 92-96 parking brake pedal assembly swappable into a 87-91 pickup? The parking brake on my 90' pickup is of course not working. The return spring is missing on the equalizer and the tension limiter is shot. Before I go ordering a new tension limiter and spring I was wondering If it's possible to swap in a 92-96 parking brake pedal; from what I'm understanding those parking brake pedals are ratcheting, which seems more reliable as opposed to the 87-91 parking brake in where depressing the parking brake pedal the proper tension and feel is automatically set via the tension limiter. I haven't had a chance to cross reference bolt patterns as I was planning on hitting up the ol pick-n-pull over the weekend. I've search the vast info of the internet and the forums to no avail. Thanks again everyone

I would assume that part of the cab did not change but I am not 100% sure. All the way up until 1992 that was the design. It didn’t start in ‘87 so as far as the the ‘92 redesign being more reliable I disagree. Once you have the equalizer adjusted it shouldn’t have to be touched again.

once I get a chance to hit up the local pick-n-pull I’ll take a look and let you guys know the outcome. Only reason I would think that the ratcheting parking brake is more reliable is that it doesn’t have the tension limiter as part of the system; eliminating the cinch strap and tension limiter would mean there is one less perishable item in the parking brake system. Therefore I’d only have to worry about parking brake cables be becoming unserviceable and making adjustments to the equalizer nut

Just to clear things up: after my adventure to the junkyard and picking up a 92-96 parking brake pedal I can confirm that you CANNOT swap a 92-96 parking brake pedal assembly into a 87-91 pickup, they bolt up completely differently.
