Yeti's "Decipher your VIN" item is very helpful to me. However, when I get to the Vehicle Certification Label I run into a lack of codes for my paint and brakes. Sorry to ask by a general posting, but I'm too new to have email access to Yeti, but I want to ask what the paint code "NB" means. This is my truck's code. It has to be for the green portion of the green and grey color scheme, as Z3 is the grey, but knowing the specific color would let me purchase matching touch-up paint. I made one wrong guess on this (oops!). Also, my Cert has a brake code of "2", not "B". Can I assume my truck has four-wheel anti-lock brakes? My insurance company thinks it does.
This forum is very good. Many obviously have been on for a good while and I like the light-hearted tone that comes from that. I don't especially like the derisive references to other manufacturers. Just my two cents.
You didn't post the model year, but I'm going to assume it's a '99. If so, the green is "Dark Tourmaline Metallic Clearcoat" and the grey is "Silver Metallic Clearcoat".
No, Oppy, no Chebbie. No Toy, no Goat, and no attitude about any other manufacturer, either. You guessed right about the '99. I should have put that in. Do you know anything about the brake code of "2"?
Well, as long as you think Ford is the best, I guess you can get away without ripping other labels.
As far as the brake code goes, I can't help you there. I am reasonably certain, though, that all of the Super Dutys came with 4 wheel disk brakes and ABS.
