20E07 PCM re program

has anyone else been blessed with this lately from ford?
they did it to my truck when they changed the dpf, my truck is lethargic now. it is almost scary to pass anyone when towing as picking up speed takes too long. taking off from a stop light when towing is noticeably slower. and my fuel mileage empty is down about 4mpg, towing is down maybe 0.5 to 1 mpg
this was done 01/17/2022
24388 miles

I have read all of those, my truck never showed 2E07 to be applicable, not sure why ford did it.
but I have none of the symptoms I have read about, just takes off like a dog and my empty mileage is down.

Interesting. I just had my truck at the dealer for an oil change on Friday the 6th and I noticed when I got my paperwork that this update was done on my truck. Didn’t notice any change in fuel mileage on a 400 mile drive on Sat with it, but did notice that the DEF level went down much faster than it used to especially for an unloaded truck for that distance.

Anyone know specifically what this update is supposed to address?

my trip to Missouri last month was within gallons of diesel as years before, my DEF was full when leaving, 5 gallons in MO. 5 gallons when I get home, same as every trip before, I don't know about def usage empty as I am almost never empty.

Something isn't right and I would take the truck back and have them look at it. Truck should not be down on power

Mileage down is a common symptom that is mentioned in every thread about the 20E07. That is the only thing I have noticed with mine since the recall was done. I don't idle long enough to see if it now goes into a high idle, not noticing increased DEF use and not down on power that I'm aware of. It applied to all 17-19 diesel Super Duty's and a couple years of diesel 150. Purpose was to update SCR calibration to meet emissions requirements.

I don't expect the dealer will be of much help but worth a try. You shouldn't be having power loss from this.

Just had all the recalls done on my 2017 F350 SD. The 20E07 Powertrain Control Module Reprogramming was done and now my mileage is down about 4 MPG! WTF! What do I do now? I think the dealer won't put it back to the way it was will they? Do I have to get a programmer now?

My 15 has not seen this issue but it's funny that the 16's are having issues.
