Anyone know if there is a 4r100 with matching bellhousing bolt pattern to the Big Block E4OD that is behind the 7.5l 460. I know there are pump and solenoid pack differences just looking for options for a new case and hard to find the info without having options in hand
Nope.
You won't find a 4r100 case for a BB, 460 or a 385 series engine, no such thing.
Probably no such adapter either, its the internals that are 'similar', and some of those similar parts swap to the e4od no problem.
I was just trying to figure out options. I have a 4r100 out of a 04 excursion gas sitting around and a friend that is in need of a trans for a 96 f250 460. Was trying to figure out if it would bolt up but my assumptions appear correct with it being no.
not a problem Found one out of a 91 local to me so I’ll just grab that and upgrade internals during rebuild. Unless there is any other issue you can think of using the older 91 in a 96? thank you for the help as well
