Both my brother (who also also owns a Ranger) and I have been curious about the vehicle's top speed. In our younger days we would know by now. Certainly some brave soul has checked this out. I'm speculating it is not electronically limited like my 2017 F450.
Everything is electronically limited these days, isn't it? Should be faster than the F450, but it'll be an electronic limit.
I would like to think not, but you are probably right. But then, there are no shortage of clever individuals with the know how to defeat such limitations. Maybe I'll have an answer yet!
That would be interesting to see if the redline is the limit. I've had mine into three digits going uphill (6% grade) and it was not floored. Seemed to have plenty of zip left.

A friend of mine drag races his short bed standard cab F 150/ 5.0. He told me @ 103 just before the traps the engine noses over.
I also have a 2019 Ranger and I would not be surprised if it was limited to about the same.
Car & Driver said a 2019 was governor limited to 111 mph. Seems fast for a governed limit, usually seeing 98 to 102 based on other posts.
I've been close to 100 in my F150 but the $500 base fine for a first offense makes me mighty wary.... $500 base, figure to double that they way they add on to tickets here.

I know this is a zombie thread, but TIRE top speed is usually the reason for limiters. S rated tires are rated to 112 mph, and I'll bet the Ranger has S rated tires as its slowest speed rated tires, so they limit below that. T rated go up to 118 mph, H to 130, etc.
