Only the people who want a vaccination, have received them. A lot of people are still refusing, and they won't let their kids get vaccinated either. It's roughly 2/3 vaccinated, 1/3 unvaccinated. Those numbers will change. People are still dying from Covid. I still have doubts. This is my 4th shot of Moderna, and I still don't feel anything.
The local car dealership sent a coupon in the mail. Oil changes are now $150. With a coupon, it's only $120. $10 off an air filter. It used to be that an air filter cost less than $10. Is that what they call inflation?
I believe the same. Humans keep our population in check by way of famine, disease, and war. As we gaze upon the global landscape, people are starving, getting diseases, and killing each other. The SF ArchBishop has told Nancy Pelosi that she can't come for communion. So everything is as it should be.
There's a new virus on the scene. We'll all be rolling up our sleeves for the monkey pox vaccine. Today, it's gay men. Tomorrow, it will be everybody.
Don't know about that. My SO and I went down to Kaiser yesterday and both got boosted with Moderna. They had 6 or 8 stations running, and it appeared that all the seats were filled.
Happy Saturday Nor Cal.
Monkey Pox eh? Gay males eh? Interesting. Not gay females, only gay males. I am sure there is a law against infecting only one sexual orientation somewhere in these United States...

Once it is in the community, it could spread. Airborne pathogens don't discriminate.
AIDS is Bloodborne. And that started with Gays and IV drug users. It managed to infect other people.
I can't wait to get monkey pox shot. I don't want to it from a toilet seat.
I am acquainted with people in the healthcare field. Most don't know much about covid because that is not their specialty. Their sources of information is just the same as what you and I may find online. No "insider information". Although they are a little more diligent about keeping up with reading statistics and news reports. I know a few people who are "on the front line". Working in the testing centers and vaccination clinics. But even a doctor at the vaccination clinic isn't privileged to have more information than the rest of us. And even they are offering a biased opinion. We're human. We're all biased.
Supposedly, San Francisco has a 90% vaccination rate. Allegedly, the people who want to be vaccinated, have gotten vaccinations. The people who do not want to be vaccinated, continue to hold out. Whatever their reasoning, I respect their choice. I may not agree with it, but we should all be able to choose. Which sort of makes sense, as to why a Covid vaccine clinic in SF has empty chairs. It's not because Clint Eastwood was having a conversation with Barack Obama.
San Francisco is also an example of how certain communities are "underserved". The statistics of which segments of the population are getting the vaccine, versus which segment of the population is not getting the vaccine, shows the disparity and inequality of our nation's healthcare. All bias and opinion. Raw data is simply raw data. I don't believe that "institutional racism" is at work in depriving minorities of Covid vaccines. In a city like San Francisco, the people who are unvaccinated, are people who are not coming to get the vaccine. How are you supposed to force people who don't want a Covid vaccine, to get the Covid vaccine? The City has even tried housecalls. Someone could literally call, and a vaccinator will come to your house.
Typical Monday today, the job was okay, but had to take Jr to the optometrist for new glasses. Got home and SWMBO’s SuperDuty has a flat on the passenger’s front tire. None of my air hoses will fit the connector on my compressor (shop vs. ?) and the rear window on the Bronco decides to stop 4” from closed.
I’ll probably order parts to R & R the tail gate soon, thank goodness that Summer has arrived so I hopefully don’t have to worry about rain.
Very big mess. Commercial equipment, homeowners small air compressors, and even those portable tire inflator all use an assortment of different lines and fittings. As if for no other reason than to confuse you and I. About as much of a disaster as cars using SAE and metric hardware. Or an American motorcycle with Japanese Industrial Standard screws, T27 torx which does not come in a lot of kits, Oetiker clamps, and Deutsch connectors. I spent more money on tools, than what the Harley is worth.
