Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the Savoy auto museum in northern Atlanta. A lot of great old rare vehicles from the 30s-50s. I fell in love with a lot of them, but my favorite was a 30’s Chevrolet FC Coupe pickup. A really rare car but I thought you guys would enjoy the pictures.
Both are very nice. I never heard of the chevy coupe/pickup. It's amazing how many automotive ideas were thought of, implemented, forgotten about and then brought back as something new. Thanks for sharing.
The other really cool car there that I fell in love with was a Graham Hollywood. Really cool car. The styling and curves were so well done, you almost do not notice it’s a 4 door sedan.
The Graham Hollywood was a pretty car, but being based on the 36-37 Cord, how could you go wrong. Those pictures brought back memories and I had to pull out my old picture book. In the late 90's I had the pleasure of working on one of those. Won awards at the Portland Roadster Show and the Spokane Auto-Boat-Speed show in '98. Good times! 25 years ago, hmmm, maybe these belong in the days gone by thread. lol. Thanks for sharing, JB.
The museum has a lot of cars not on display, they rotate them to keep the showing fresh. It was a treat to see all of the details of the restorations. Here is a few of the 53 country squire.
